Power Quality Expert provides training and education on Power Quality and Energy measurements through a number of different methods include on-site, hosted seminars, webinars and technical talks.

Power quality training courses are available in either a half day or full day format where we aim to cover a range of power quality and energy measurement topics. Both of these courses are intended to give you an introduction to the various measurement parameters and methodologies encountered by electrical contractors and engineers looking at power quality and energy.
The half and full days courses are typically delivered on site and contain content covering the topics of voltage characteristics, harmonics and energy efficiency with a focus on to teach you how, why and what needs to be measured when looking to monitor and measure power quality and energy efficiency.
The full day course covers an overview of current legislation and standards including ESOS, ISO50001 and how guidance from sources such as the ETL (Energy Technology List) is available to help manage and reduce energy costs. We look at power quality parameters such as flicker, voltage sags and swells and how installation are assessed to their compliance with EN50160. Harmonics and their effects on an installations load are discussed along with how and why these are important to consider when looking at the effects of harmonic emissions.
With the introduction of Part 8 Prosumer Installations in Amendment 2 of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations our half day course can provide an introduction to topics and measurement methods that will become more common place when looking to install and monitor energy consumption and production, building upon the existing Appendix 17 Energy Efficiency course content.
Members of the ECA are able to make requests through their local branch and regional office for use to attend branch and region meetings to present on from a number of power quality and energy topics including favourite topics such as harmonics and energy efficiency.

For colleges and education institutions, technical talks can be arranged and provided to students on a number of subjects at an introductory level to suit course content.

Our partners Sonel and Electrex regularly present online webinars where test and measurement techniques and monitoring methods are introduced and discussed to ensure you are kept up to date with the latest product innovations.
