Part 8 was introduced in Amendment 2 of the 18th Edition and looks at the concept of the prosumer installation. We can introduce and explain the aspects of how you will measure used or imported power and produced or exported power at an installation. Concepts such as the four quadrants of power and how portable and fixed metering can be used to monitor energy. An introduction to electrical energy management systems and how to assess legacy systems and how to approach the installation and setup of a new fixed system will be explained. The concept of energy load management and how this can be automated through the EEMS as part of the prosumer installation will also be introduced with additional information available direct from our partner Electrex for larger system integrators.
