We look at the type of harmonics with consideration of the typical effects and associated issues that could be caused by modern loading. Voltage and current emissions are discussed and their impact on the power quality and the energy profile of an installation.

Concepts and the impact of the calculated frequencies and how they are grouped in to positive, negative and zero sequence harmonics is explained. The effect these harmonic groups have and how different frequencies can interact within a three phase electrical system and the associated loading connected to your installation is also discussed.
